We had a good season last year sailing out of Dun Laoghaire. We won the Dalkey Is race the Two Handed Kish race and the September series. We have invested in new triple clutches, No1 and Spinnaker - arrived to day and looks gorgeous. As we are an Irish / UK owned boat we cant fly either the tricolour or the ensign so the new spinnaker is Green, black boarders and a huge gold cross in the middle! Are there any other Achilles on the island of Ireland?

Posts: 8 (12/27/07 03:57:13) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Just an update on Rascal#s performance for the 07 season: Once again we won our section of the Kish two handed race ( this is an East - West race of 14 nm from Dun Laoghaire to the Kicsh Lighthouse. he winds were F5-6 SE and we reached 7.5kts). We also won not only the September Series again but the overall Class 4 for the year in the Dublin Bay Sailing Club races. The DBSC runs all the races in Dublin Bay for the 4 amin clubs in Dublin Bay and any non-affiliated boats on the DL marina. Just to note that the Eastern Bight in Dun Laoghaire Harbour is about to be developed into a marina thus loosing the 2 affected clubs ALL of their swnig moorings. There will be 330 pontoon moorings instead costiong more pere year than the swing versions - so much for progress! This development will take about 3 years to complete as the HArbour company are only tendering the design at the moment
